Olympic Fever

The last few topics up for discussion have been pretty intense, not to mention a bit dark. I therefore opted for something lighter: The Olympics. Are you following the Olympics? Usually, I'm not much for watching sports on Tv, but I have to admit I started watching women's volleyball and wow, those atheletes are fierce! Pretty disappointed about Taiwan's performance in baseball, though. I was really hoping to see them get further. What are you watching or are you sick of the Olympics already?

I like gymnastic and diving. It's a pleaseure to observe atheles' efforts trying to reach their perfection of skills and elegancy of the hightest degree.

I prefer individual sports more than group sports, and nothing scares me more than one on one sports like boxing and taekwondo.

I think a lot of people don't have time to watch a lot of olympics (like me). Life shouldn't be this way but it is.

Funny, I've always preferred team sports. I enjoy the comaraderie and the requirement for team members to work as a unit.

I love boxing! Perhaps that sounds strange but it seems to me that boxing is one the oldest, most rudimentary sports known to mankind. Mano a mano. I do think it's important to distinguish Olympic boxing from brawling. I don't like violence for the sake of violence under any circumstances, but Olympic boxing has extremely strict rules about what is permissible. It's a very controlled sport.

We all should have more time to watch our world's finest compete.
