Welcome All

Well, classes this term are off to a good start. I'm particularly pleased with my Performance and Public Speaking classes, as they are, without a doubt, the most active classes I've taught in a while. It's really a pleasure for a teacher to sit back and watch his students stand in front of the class and perform.

I find the summer is the most difficult time to teach, so I imagine it's also the most difficult time to study. With the weather being as sultry as it is in Taipei, it makes one lethargic. Is that just me, or do you find that too? (Don't think you can use this as an excuse for being absent though - it won't wash.)

This blog can be used to ask questions concerning class issues or it can be used for casual chit chat. It's up to you. Don't be shy. I look forward to reading your comments.

It's really nice to have a place like this.

Oh..i forgot i was going to share a link with you all.

For people who love music it's a very nice database.

(For example, i recently discovered Art Brut, they make me laugh my ass off~)

I am suggesting that we should create a group of ChongDe on facebook. It will make students at our school be in touch with each other so much easier. It seems that everyone is now "FACEBOOKing" around. we should do the same!! ^_^ www.facebook.com

I checked out that link to last.fm and it does seem to have a very impressive database.

I urge you to try musicovery.com too. It takes a rather unique approach that is hard to explain.

Amanda, your comment that we should establish a facebook account is a good one. I am going to look into it. I've never used facebook before, but I suppose that is hardly surprising coming from someone who doesn't even have a cellphone, right?

I checked Musicovery, it's very unique! But im already very used to last.fm. Don't think I can change. :D

For me I mainly use the website for database. I also have downloaded its program but rarely use it. If you are interested in discovering new & old music in a conslusive way, try their program on your computer!

For people who can't bear simplified chinese (like me), here is the link to the original English version.

By the way, if anyone likes comic, this is a very good site to visit. It has new comics everyday since 2000!

Thank you Jennifer for your suggestions. There are so many interesting things going on on the Internet of which we only hear about a fraction.
It's all in the spirit of sharing.

Thank you Mandy for your support and enthusiasm. I have to admit though, I can't quite picture your face. Could you upload a picture next time to help jog my memory? Alas, I grow old...
